MEET OUR PODIATRIST

Lachlan Smith - BHlth Sc (Pod)

Lachlan or Lockie completed a Bachelor of Health Sciences at Auckland University of Technology in 2022.

From his school years he had a passion for helping diabetics with their foot and wound care. Since graduating, Lockey has worked predominantly in this field and has an extensive knowledge base in complicated foot and ankle cases. In recent times, Lockie has broadened his skill set and focused his attention on foot and ankle biomechanics, which has been his principal interest and passion of late.

Lockie is a huge advocate for evidence based medicine when managing his patients. He keeps abreast of the most recent literature in order to help support his patients for a wide range of conditions.

Lockie grew up in Auckland, Aotearoa with a very active childhood. He spent over 10 years playing rugby union, has been a surf life saver on the notorious west coast of NZ. More recently he has been an avid motocross rider, gym enthusiast and boxer.
