ALISON JEFFREY

Alison is the Principal Physiotherapist of Chevron Island Physio. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 2009 and began her professional journey at one of Brisbane’s leading private practices. Her enthusiasm for Physiotherapy stems from a lifelong commitment to physical wellbeing and fitness. As a young athlete, Alison competed at an elite level in junior gymnastics before a successful stint as a professional stunt actor.

 

Her real passion lies in the field of women’s health. Her postgraduate endeavours have been comprehensive, including specialized training in pelvic floor rehabilitation to address conditions such as urinary incontinence, pelvic pain and pelvic organ prolapse. She has also completed additional training in the fitting of pessaries, enhancing her capacity to assist with the management of pelvic organ prolapse. Alison’s loves to support her patients through pregnancy and the post-natal period, as well as assist in the management of pelvic pain and pelvic floor dysfunction.

 

Alison’s passion extends beyond her practice; she is a devoted mother to three beautiful children—Oliver, aged 8, Hugh, aged 5, and Phoebe, aged 2. Her own experiences as a mother have deeply enriched her passion for women’s health, driving her desire to empower women to attain peak health and relish the joys of motherhood. With compassion and enthusiasm, she is committed to guiding her patients towards achieving optimal wellness through all of life’s stages.
