Happy New Year!

We thought we would start the year off with a focus on our health and wellness.

5 Components of Wellness

Wellness is optimal health, a way of life, making responsible decisions about lifestyle choices.
 
There are 5 main components of wellness. Each are imperative wedges of the pie that add up to complete and well rounded wellness. 
 
Over the next 5 weeks we will dive into each component more thoroughly and give practical tips for  enhancing them in your own life.
 
Briefly, I will explain the 5 components...
1. Physical: fitness which includes endurance, flexibility and strength and nutrition 
2. Emotional: acceptance of ones emotions and feelings and dealing with them appropriately 
3. Intellectual: feeding the natural urge to grow and inquire, never stop learning!
4. Social: people need people. Finding balance between work and play
5. Spiritual: lots of different ways to get in touch with your spiritual side- religion, meditation, nature, or just quiet time!
